Position Summary:
The Senior Graphic Designer will be responsible for high-level design and implementation of various aspects of our online presence, such as web user interface design, page layouts, promotional landing pages email campaigns, Flash banners, newsletters and other online components for our services, as well as occasional print pieces. You will be based in the corporate office. All software and hardware will be provided.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and manage their relative priorities.
- Captures advanced technical knowledge and skills, such as interactive design, user experience, marketing techniques and consumer demand, and applies them to Tun New Technology's business objectives
- Establish project scope, schedule milestones, work packages, and work breakdown structure for web Project.
- Communicate internally with development team and externally with clients.
- Ensure project completion within prescribed time lines.
- Review designer and developer's work and provide status reports for projects.
- Develop project cost estimates and compare to actual project cost information.
- Provide budget variance explanations and insure billing is correct for customer projects.
- Keep current with design and content trends among competitors and best-practice sites, and make recommendations for new features and design elements.
- Use drive and vision to determine emerging graphics technology and pushes to adopt these technologies in Tun New Technology's environment
- Acts as a resource to other designers and to developers on CSS and html topics.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Digital Media, Computer Science, Business or a related field
- Candidate must have at least 4-5 years in hand-coding HTML and CSS
- Extensive knowledge of visual design, information design, and interaction design
- Ability to interact with Senior Management, Marketing, Product Management and other internal teams
- Must be able to manage multiple projects and priorities, while working alone or within a team environment
- Required software and technical knowledge: HTML, CSS, DHTML, Photoshop, Illustrator, Imageready or Fireworks
- Desired software and technical knowledge: Flash, javascript, experience with the following platforms: WordPress, Drupal, vBulletin, Joomla, Pringo.
